It was an icy cold morning sliding out onto this suspension bridge over cataract gorge, just outside Launceston in Tasmania. There was a small amount of frost on the bridge and since I was the only one within cooee I was moving like a new born fowl. Whats amazing about Cataract Gorge is that it’s a 5 minute walk from the city of Launceston, personally I found this mind boggling but small things amuse small minds. Tasmania is one of those places that every Australian should visit at least once in their lives as its beauty is unsurpassed. I’ve been to Europe, the UK and parts of Asia and even after all that travel Tasmania still had that wow factor. It’s like nature decided to pack 100’s of great landmarks all in the one place. I only stayed a little while in Launceston before heading off south-west to Cradle Mountain, where I stayed in some cabins. Boy was it cold up in the mountains !
