I got shoot this stunning sunset at Sydney’s Sculpture by the sea, you can share your photos from the even with the hashtag #SxSbondi15.
I was admiring and engaging with all the sculptures up on the cliffs between Bondi and Tamarama beach when the sea called me. I found this magical staircase carved into the stone where surfers and fishermen can run out to the head to catch a wave or do some rock fishing. Tamara Beach is a small enclosed beach, but that is actually what is what makes it special. Along with Bronte, it’s one of the coolest beaches in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
I used the brand new On1 Photo 10 to edit this image. The trick was that I double processed it in the module On1 Enhance, which is a bit like Adobe Lightroom. By doing a double process I was able to get a very extended range of tones without losing information in the shadows and highlights. I then took it into On1 FX and brought out the contrast and added some glow. On1 Photo 10 has just been released this week and it has some really cool features like smart albums and being able to use cloud storage. This means you can share and view your photos on your smartphones and tablets, woohoo!
