I went out to Star City because I knew that after dark it is a magical place to see… There was also a fair amount of moonlight on this night and the combination of it along with all the neon lights certainly made for a great HDR. When I shot this image there were people walking across the asphalt in front of me but because I used long exposure times the sensor on the camera doesn’t record them and they can glide right past. There was one particular guy who looked like a photographer who had stepped out of the 1900’s or something. He had this super old camera that looked more like a harpsichord and he was wearing suspenders ! Who wears suspenders !?!? Gen-Y certainly aren’t running around in suspenders unless they are wearing them as a fashion statement like the “hipsters’ of Bondi.

Post-Processing

This image was tonemapped using the HDR software Photomatix, then edited in  Perfect Effects from OnOne. I also used Adobe Lightroom 5.
