This image is for all my Asian friends that follow and like my work.
I took this image in Bukit Bintang, Kulala Lumpur, standing underneath the monorail tracks looking down towards Pavillion. If you don’t know what Pavillion is, it’s this GIANT mall in KL. I spent a lot of time in Pavillion (mainly for the airconditioning haha) and I have to say my favourite part was the food court down in the basement, which was easily the coolest one I’ve ever been too. KL, to me, is all about two things- Shopping and food. I had so many memorable dishes whilst there, but my favourite has to be in “Lot 10, and it was Bak Kut Teh. OMG this dish was soooooo tasty! I was lucky enough to have some locals who knew a lot about the city and we went to some amazing places to eat.
Another favourite was the night food markets at Jalon Alor. There must be a rule about how far into the street food vendors are allowed to setup their tables, something about being able to let cars and trucks through, because a patrol truck came through when we were eating. It was funny cause all the vendors must have known they were coming as they quickly packed up any tables near the edge of the road and stored them away out of sight. One cart who was selling corn on a cob packed up his umbrellas and wheeled the entire cart behind the buildings ^^. When the patrol had passed everyone setup again on the edge of the road like nothing had happened and the street volume went back to normal where everyone was laughing and having a good time.
