Yes, feel free to share and use my photos as the wallpaper at the top of your timeline! 🙂 All my work is Creative Commons noncommercial, which means you can use it for fun personal stuff like that… just give credit and link back… or

I believe that art is something to be shared and not hoarded for the rich only and for this reason I say go ahead and download my images. Obviously I’d prefer people to purchase a print but all I ask is, if you do download my images just you link people back to my site so they know where it came from 😉 and I will be happy. You can use them Any one my images in my photography shop is easily downloadable and I could disable this feature, if I wanted to, but I believe that people in the world are generally good natured (mostly :D).

I think if people like the art that I’m making and they can afford it they will Purchase a print or a painting to support me. But there are people out there who might not be able to afford my work as they have little money to spend on art. They know they are not getting the best quality or a Limited Edition copy, but at least they get to enjoy the art is how I think of the matter.  In fact, I think that is kind of nice.  So go ahead and download my images and enjoy them.

Good reasons to purchase my prints:

  • You are guaranteed a superior print in every way, which can come on canvas and high quality fiber paper.
  • It supports me, the artist directly, most people know that I spend a lot of time, effort, and finances to produce my art. Supporting me allows me to keep actively working on my practice.

My Work is considered Creative Commons. What does this mean ?

Well with Creative Commons you are free:

  • To Share: Copy, Distribute, and Transmit the image
  • To Remix: Create Derivative works of the image

Under these conditions:

  • Attribution: Attribution to Luke Zeme must be made along with the image.
  • Non-Commercial: The image must NOT be used for commercial purposes under any circumstances. For clarity on what defines commercial use, please see the Sample Accepted Uses below

  • Blog Post describing trips to Australia or places in my imagery
  • Online article discussing the growing popularity of HDR photography
  • A website for a school project about the use of light in art
  • An individual using an image as a desktop background for the computer monitor

Commercial use of our images is allowed only if expressly granted by the artist, Luke Zeme. All commercial uses will incur a licensing fee.

  • A marketing campaign for a commercial entity
  • A fund-raising campaign for a not-for profit entity
  • A background image for a website about furniture
  • License to create an individual print for use in a private home
Not all artists will work in this manner, but I am of the opinion that it is far better to share than to hold back on my work and the reason I create the work in the first place is for it to be enjoyed.
