Yesterday I had the pleasure of sharing an HDR image I created of the KLCC fountain light show with Petronas Twin Towers in the background. Click the link to have a look at the fountain. The Towers are located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for those of you who don’t know.
Today though, Im sharing another amazing vantage point of the Petronas Twin Towers from across the KLCC park. We’d gone up to the skybar for drinks, as it is a must do on every tourist’s visit to Kuala Lumpur, and the view was spectacular as you can see from this photo I took. Inside the bar was an actual swimming pool and there were all these drop in booths that groups could take up residence in by the windows. We ordered some drinks and settled into one and took in the Malaysian night life. Before tasting some local asian beer I snapped a few shots of the view with my Sony A7r + my wide angle lens the Nikkor 14-24mm. I’d brought my camera along because I’d read about how amazing the view was of the Petronas Twin Towers from up there. During my stay in KL, which I just got back from a day ago, I spent so much time in this area as our apartment was only a block from Petronas twin towers. Some of the memorable things I did in this photo include watChing the night show at the fountain outside KLCC (you can make it out just at the base of KLCC), using the tunnel from KLCC to Pavilion (aircon!), shopping in Suria KLCC, strolling the park plus we went for this amazing buffet dinner at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel located just to the left of Petronas. Malaysian buffets are another level when it comes to good food. So for me I love exploring this image as it brings back so many memories of my stay in Kuala Lumpur and I hope you enjoy it to.
The image is a HDR bracketed image and I took 5 frames using a tripod. To edit this back on my computer I used the HDR software:
