These beautiful opal blue waters are from a fake beach in Brisbane, which was built due to the areas very warm climate and the fact that the city is an hour from the coast. I love how it has the little lifeguard towers and everything, even the sand was brought in to create the feel of a real beach. On a hot summers days this place is swarming with people sun baking, enjoying cool drinks and ice-creams, swimming and just having general fun in the sun. At night though it’s a different world with the stars above and the underwater lights creating these beautiful ripples of light on the surface. You could sit and watch the lights for ages before you got bored and it was very tempting to have a swim !
